Kickoff

Welcome.

You have arrived at the best, most authentic site about professional football. This site will be all encompassing in its no nonsense, to-the-point, "real" discussion of the teams, players, officials, broadcasters, and of the league itself.

This site is not a fantasy site, nor a stat site, nor a betting site, nor is it a site that recaps what we as fans have seen and heard over and over, ad nauseam, watching the highlights and listening to the radio all week.

Our views on this site will be astute, concise, and hopefully you'll find them insightful.

Enjoy the site. And after you've read it and reread it, let us know your opinion about anything we've said here or anything else you'd like to express regarding the league. Contact us or visit the message board.

Touchdown

Around the League

AFC East
Bills What is this team going to do at QB? Is Loseman the man??
Dolphins Culpepper - the best QB Miami has had in a while... and that ain't saying much
Jets So far so good. Added names to LB, WR, CB, QB, and DE. Should be looking for OT in the draft
Patriots Will have to get younger at RB
AFC South
Colts One big miss and it's Vanderjagt out - New England legend Vinatieri in
Jaguars Looking at LB in the draft
Texans All indications point to Reggie Bush. Land WR Eric Moulds
Titans Will McNair/Volek be able to lead this team? Maybe they should look at QB in the draft
AFC North
Bengals Will Palmer come back healthy and be able to play as well as last season?
Browns Going to need a good QB before anything gets started
Ravens Kyle Boller showed he can play towards the end of last season. That must continue for the Ravens to have any shot. Mike Anderson should help the offense
Steelers May have DL needs
AFC West
Broncos With Mike Anderson gone, will a re-signed Ron Dayne finally get a chance to shine?
Chargers It's Phillip Rivers time
Chiefs Could use a WR and help all over the defense. How long before the first "Herman sermon" to the media? (Jet fans know what this means)
Raiders Got rid of Collins. Signed Aaron Brooks. (Are you kidding?)
NFC East
Cowboys Will T.O. lead Parcells back to the Super Bowl or back to retirement?
Eagles Will they stay with gamer RB Ryan Moats to lead the running attack?
Giants Addressed secondary needs. Need O-line help
Redskins Added Antwaan Randle-El and Brandon Lloyd to their offense. But who is going to QB this team?
NFC South
Buccaneers I think Chris Simms is the real deal
Falcons Got a very good DE (if he stays healthy) from the Jets - John Abraham
Panthers Keyshawn - what Steve Smith needed
Saints With Brees at QB, this team needs a big-time WR to compliment Stallworth and an aging Joe Horn
NFC North
Bears Another team that needs a WR
Lions Added Corey Bradford to their talented WR corps. Will QB Jon Kitna excell in Detroit?
Packers Favre must step aside for this team to prosper
Vikings Can RB Mewelde Moore power this team?
NFC West
Cardinals With the addition of Edgerrin James, the Cards should have a potent offense - Warner not withstanding
49ers Will Alex Smith take steps forward or backward?
Rams Must make protecting QB Marc Bulger a top priority
Seahawks Added WR Nate Burleson to offense to replace Joe Jurevicius

Extra Point

Broncos at Chiefs in the "3rd" Thanksgiving Day game. (Dolphins at Lions and Bucs at Cowboys are the other two)

Jets at Dolphins - Christmas Night - PERFECT!

Glad to hear that "down by contact" calls will now be able to be reviewed by replay.

Overtime

Nobody special this week.

Fumble

RE: Jets/Giants Stadium

It was announced that there will be a new stadium built at the Meadowlands in New Jersey for the Jets and the Giants. Why can't the Jets get their own stadium? Someplace in Queens or Staten Island, or even on Long Island. What happened to all those politicians and big shots so full of hot air who were all for a west side of Manhattan stadium for the ridiculous Olympics?

Sudden Death

Any Questions?

Q: Will Chad Pennington be the Jets opening day starter?
A: Yes.

Q: Will Chad Pennington be the Jets week 2 starter?
A: It's 50/50, but probably yes.

Q: Will Joey Harrington be playing this year, and if so where?
A: Yes, but not in Detroit.

Q: Will Eli take a step forward or backward in the 2006 season?
A: Forward (I hope it's more than a step).
